Hi, I'm Sare! (It rhymes with hair.) I was born and raised in northern BC in the small coastal town of Prince Rupert.
Coming from a deeply rooted Indigenous heritage, I was raised with strong values of community, connection, and inclusivity. These principles not only shape who I am as a person, but guide the way I show up for each and every client. I strive to create a space where everyone feels respected, welcomed, and valued.
Since relocating to Vancouver in 2020, I graduated from Blanche Macdonald and John Casablanca Institute with diplomas in hairstyling and makeup artistry. During my studies I earned the 'Highest Practical Achievement' award, and was named to the 'Honor Roll'. I am now proudly represented by Faye Smith Agency as a senior hair and makeup stylist.
With over 6 years of professional experience, I’ve gained the trust of photographers, production teams, agencies, and private clients alike. My work spans clean, natural beauty for product campaigns, to red carpet glamour, weddings, editorial shoots, and transformative behind-the-chair styling. I’ve built a career that blends technical skill, creativity, and a deep understanding of personal style.
Over the years I've become an established and respected artist, with my work featured in international magazines and across prominent cultural and fashion platforms, including Vancouver Fashion Week, Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week, the Miss Vancouver Pageant, SWAIA Santa Fe, Hoobiyee (Nisga’a New Year), and the JUNO Awards.
When I’m not on set or behind the chair, you’ll find me hiking, enjoying nature, getting lost in a creative project, or sipping an iced oat matcha somewhere cozy.
